What is a Li-ion battery ?

What is a Li-ion battery ?

The lithium-ion battery is an electrochemical accumulator that uses lithium in an ionic form.
Electricity is produced by reversible exchange of lithium ions between two electrodes, an anode and a cathode. This exchange is made within a liquid electrolyte.
Thanks to, Its very high energy density, high mass energy, non-existent memory effect and very low self-charging, this battery is the best solution for mobility.

Critical part

The batteries have a separator between anode and cathode, to avoid overheating and short circuit.
This part is essential because it guarantees the safety of the user as well as the protection of the elements it powers.

High purity and performance

High purity and performance

RSA developed products, to be used as coating for battery separators.
RSA aluminas ensure reliability and performance, thanks to their very high purity (99.99%) and their very low level of impurities.

4N alumina can be used as the electrode coating of lithium battery, which can effectively play the role of heat insulation, thanks to the high purity, it improves totally the safety performance.
